Back to back Premiership home wins at The Valley. You don't hear that often! Well that was what was ringing around the homeground of the Addicks come 16:45 today! Some more points in the bag. Notably Smertin and Murphy were dropped, with the latter still rumoured to be leaving SE7 in this transfer window. A shaky start for Charlton with Birmingham seeming to be all over us, we were rewarded with a corner which Rommedahl took and it met the head of Brian Hughes! We were one nil up! I had a feeling this was going to be a great day. It stayed like this, despite much Birmingham pressure, until 92. The 4th official had added on 3 minutes injury time, and up steps Darren Bent who took a great pass from Bryan Hughes, shrugged off Mario Melchiot, blasts it into the back of the net! Great win and a great day, the fans went wild! Chrissy Powell has his tunnel jump again, and we have 3 points in the bag!
