A way to end the year on a high would be beating our London rivals West Ham United. It was a win needed greatly by the club for our league position and our supporters. Thankfully our prayers were answered! A team that had loads of passion on Boxing Day and were unlucky to lose against Arsenal came out again with their heads high trying to get something. A goal came from Shaun Bartlett in the 21st minute when a cross from Darren Bent was slid in from Shaun. A great goal and also great to see Shauny boy scoring again! Dennis Rommedahl nearly scored a second for the Addicks shortly after but was denyed by Carrol's hand. We had our heads held high going into half time. The second half was all ours and a great piece of play on the hour with a cross from Chris Powell onto the head of Darren Bent and into the back of the oppositions net. That was a goal to settle the match for us and more narrow misses could have easily meant that we could have won 5 or 6 nil. One hilarious moment of chanting from the fans to Graham Poll, the ref, when he made a dodgy decision was the chant "Oh Graham Poll, He's a F**king Arsehole, He's a F**king Arsehole, He's a F**king Arsehole" and he replied by laughing and waving back. Top bloke!
Man Of The Match:Dennis Rommedahl
