A win to lift the spirits and get the lads back to winning ways was granted at Hillsborough today when Charlton put on a winning performance against Sheffield Wednesday (on a Saturday! HAHAHA!) Dennis Rommedahl struck in the 13th to give the Addicks a great start and put them ahead. Unfortunately, Wednesday struck back on the 16th through Paul Heckingbottom to give us a little shock. But calmly and cooly, Matt Holland scored his first ever FA Cup goal to put us back in the lead 10 minutes later. Rommedahl hadn't finished there and scored another just before half time after an unselfish piece of play from Darren Bent to set him up for the shot.
On the 61st, Heckingbottom gave Wednesday a bit of hope to get a replay or even the win with a header to make it 3-2 but just before the final whistle, Darren Bent got his reward after catching the defence asleep to send the Addicks into the 4th round with a 4-2 win! Great lads, keep it up!
Man Of The Match:Dennis Rommedahl
