Match Report: Charlton 0 - 1 Bolton

From one extreme to another. Yes, Charlton's historic win over Chelsea midweek, a game to remember for years to come, has the horrible grey sky of a loss over Bolton today. A game I was looking forward to seeing to cheer on the lads after the midweek win. A great day it should have been. But as soon as I get to the stadium, a little damp atmosphere. Darren Bent was out as he was ill. I was gutted, but in came Bothroyd, a player who I thought deserved his chance regarding his recent cup and reserves performances.
The first half performance was strong, a half which had a Darren Ambrose disallowed goal for something like handball, and another shot from him which hit the side netting, but looked in. I thought we could continue this into the second half, but unfortunately that wasn't to be. After immense pressure from Bolton, they eventually broke the deadlock and scored what was to be a simple tap in. Unfortunatley we couldn't get anything back and it finished 1-0. I was gutted, but for some reason not that bothered! Just a shame as the next match at home is against Man Utd!
