Despite Svens continuum of unexplained tactal formations and choice of Crouch, he has made a lot of Charlton fans happy nationwide by the inclusion of Luke Young in the first squad. Young rightfully won our player of the year award last season by putting in quality performances throughout the season impressing both fans and pundits alike. Appearing in our last match of the Qualifying stage, he now holds a new Charlton record for the most international caps, beating Powells previous of 5. Luke has captured the the hearts of unexpecting England fans with his striker-esque runs and solid attempts at driving the team to success. Down the pub I hear shouts of 'Go on Lukey!' among the general banter and confusion of Svens undying love for the stick-man himself, Crouch. With all the focus on Young, people have been excluding Charlton's hottest prospect, Bent. Being the joint top and top English scorer in the World's best league apparently isn't enough to secure his place, or to warrent an appearance in national team. Reality is best highlighted when your national team is in competition and Spurs fans are questioning why Sven hasn't chosen a rivals striker. Bent is far superior to Crouch in everywhere, my opinion isn't biased, it is immediately evident from his performance this season. Peter may be 12 foot tall, but Darren has scored a respectable amount of goals from air-born situations, remind me, how many goals has Crouch got this season? None. K. End of discussion. Now that England have qualified and we have our foothold on the final path leading into the World Cup, Bent still has a good chance to make an impression and get his chance to earn his first senior cap. I suspect that he will nab a goal or two as a little 'f**k you' present to Sven for being an ignorant c**k and not realising he has more potential than Crouch and the whole of Milwall put together.
