A night match on a Monday night infront of the Sky cameras, boy do I love night matches! But this one was not to turn out all good! The match started fairly slowly, but Rommedahl managed to shoot and hit the post. Gutted! With more than a handful of chances for us, it seemed that Fulham would succome to the pressure, but instead, they got a free kick and because of our sloppy defending, they scored through a Collins John volley. This was what it finished at half time.
We came back out in the second half on top, and a cross which Rommedahl mishit left Murphy with acres of space and he whacked it into the bottom left hand corner! Great goal. At this point I thought we would win, but it didn't come to that. With many more chances missed, notably a header from Perry and a volley from Rommedahl, we should have taken all three points. A wasted opportunity.
