Yes so it has been confirmed on my T-Mobile message alerts and through the official website that all:sports has gone into administration.

Chief Executive Peter Varney has said that he will release a futher statement regarding the matter later on.

Im going to be terribly annoyed if we do get a new sponsor as I have just bought the new kit! GRRR

Chelsea Calling!

We have been drawn away in the 3rd round of the Carling Cup against Chelsea! All I have to say is "Get In To Them, F**k Em Up!"

Well what a result. Unfortunately not being able to be there, but being updated through the great thing that is Vodafone Live! I kept track on the Addicks 2-1 win at the Baggies! Murphy got both goals, one a penalty - yes a penalty! - in the 9th and then an easy tap in in the 31st. After the break the Baggies got one back but that was all the luck they were to have, we carried the match through to the final whistle and the mighty Addicks won 2-1. We are still second in the league with a game in hand! WICKED!

No:Sports or More:Sports?

Well rumour has it at the moment, as well as various reports in the newspapers that our shirt sponsor all:sports has gone into administration. If this rumour is true and we lose another major high street brand, what does this mean for Charlton? Are we going to be the new Barcalona and not have any sponsor, or will T-Mobile be our sponsors? How about Shirt Shape DVD (already hinted that they could feature on shirt sponsoring in the future), even Sports Soccer are hinted to be taking over all:sports, or maybe a completely random sponsor will be displayed proudly on our mighty red costume. Whatever happens, I am kind of glad to get rid of all:sports as none of their stores stock our shirt which I think should be part of the sponsorship cause and also no other sports branch will sponsor them as it is advertising a rival brand.

Adios, all:sports

My amazing MS Paint skills show you what new sponsors may look like!

Match Report: Charlton 3 - 1 Hartlepool

Myself, Matteo, Jack Ross, Chris and Joel made the trek up to The Valley tonight to see the 2nd round of the Carling Cup. Not going in with the best of confidence, as our cup runs normally end abysmally, we all calmed our nerves in the pub with a pint of guinness. Then up to the North Upper, to sit with the rowdy lot! Wayhay! J block this time!

The team had a few changes, with Spector, Sorondo, Holland, Bartlett, Lloyd Sam, JJ and Myhre all brought in to start.

A pretty much boring first half until the final 10 minutes, Hartlepool scored a decent goal from the edge of the area. Damn! I thought this was going to be one of those forgetful nights at the Valley. But no, I was wrong, a couple of minutes later we got a penalty when Lloyd Sam was fowled. JJ was to take it and he converted to make it 1-1. A few more minutes of pressure that succomed to nothing, the half time whistle went.

So after half time, we saw Bent in his kit run out first! Yes, he will be on to win the match for us. Bartlett came off for him, good! With more chanting from the covered end and Chris with his continuous seat banging, we seemed to find a deadlock, when Darren Bent converted a corner to make it 2-1. Yes yes yes!

"Were gonna win the cup"

Bothroyd then came on for JJ and within seconds had a decent shot go inches wide. A little later on, we got a free kick a few yards from the edge of the box, Murphy (who replaced Smertin) layed it off to Bothroyd who smashed it into the goal with his left foot. Amazing, the kid is here!

The match went on to finish 3-1, into the next round, safe in the cup for a while!

A good match in the end, it was a good atmosphere for the singers in the north.

Man Of The Match:Lloyd Sam (a great start)

Carling Cup - the giant killer cup?

So over the past few years, the mighty Addicks have been knocked out to sides like Oxford and Palace reserves when we play atrociously. Tomorrow brings Hartlepool to the Valley in the second round of the Carling Cup. Obviously this will be a match we want to win, because the Carling Cup is well within our reach, it is just the matter of beating the ghost we have in the early stages. So come on Charlton, lets run riot on Hartlepool.

All good things have to come to and end, and unfortunately for Charlton Athletic, that happened yesterday against Chelsea.

As usual, we started off the 1st half excellently, and practically maintained that throughout the half, with Rommedahl and Bent getting a couple of half shots in. Kishichev was playing absolutely crap! Ref gave some dodgy decisions, main one being ignoring Robben's blatent handball.

Second half started and we seemed to just go downhill. The 55th minute came, Kish screws up on edge of the box, Chelsea capitalise, Crespo heads it into the back of the net - 0 - 1. What a damn shame. I dont normally blame players, but Kishichev was playing absolutely sh!t. 5 Minutes later, Robben gets it on the edge of the area and shoots a blinder. 0 - 2. Game Over. We would not get back from this despite having 30 minutes to do so.

A poor game in the second, but we played well in the first.

Match Report: Birmingham 0 - 1 Charlton

After a weeks break from Premiership Football, Charlton were away from home playing Birmingham. This time, myself JDL and Chris made the journey up from Sussex to the lovely lands of Birmingham! A 3 hour journey would later be well worth it.

Arriving in Birmingham, I was listening to the local radio station BRMB and there were loads of people phoning in saying we would get thrashed, so out came my phone, on came the text and off went my message to the station.

Moments later I hear "Hey to the Charlton guys, James and Chris, who have just texting in saying there up to watch the footie, nice one lads!" Wayhay showed them damn Brummies! LOL!

Anyways, we hopped in a cab and next thing we are at St Andrews, home of Birmingham City FC. A lot of glances at me and Chris as we made our way to the away end. FINALLY, some Charlton fans. We got in and the seats had a good view of the pitch!

A new tradition for me is the pre match pint, at the time when I finally met Charly, also Dave and Mike, great bunch of people. We ended up sitting with the during the match in the 'Hardcore' section! The atmosphere was wicked.

So the match kicked off with us on top, and after a little scare from Birmingham, we seemed to settle in well. 15 minutes passed, Jerome whips in a cross from the left and none other than Darren Bent steps up to head it past the helpless Maik Taylor! Wicked 1-0, we all went mad!

We dominated the half with Rommedahl and Murphy coming close, Andersen was lucky to stay on as he handled the ball outside the box, but I think the ref saw the surface was poor (rain) ad gave him yellow. The half finished 1-0, I was happy, well we all were!

The second half was atrocious! We were very very lucky to get 3 points out of it, I was certain it would be a draw. Towards the end of the match, Bent had a run away ball, where maybe he should have shot, but instead tried to go inside. Also Herman had a shot from a corner which was deflected! A few restless minutes towards the end, with Birmingham piling on the pressuse succommed to nothing, and we had won the match 1 - 0. What a legend Powell was, still doing his celebration with the fans, despite being at an away ground!

The chants were wicked, never experienced anything like that. I even started some myself! Wicked chants included:

One Nil, to the imbaciles/morons/Londoners
One Nil, to the imbaciles/morons/Londoners

Build a Bonfire
Build A Bonfire
Put Palace at the top
Put Millwall in the middle
And Burn the F**king lot!

Your Father is your Brother
Your Sister is your Mother
Your F**king one another
The Brummie Family

Stand up if you love Charlton
Sit down if you hate Palace
Stand up if you love Charlton
Sit down if you hate Palace

We're gonna win the league
We're gonna win the league
And now you're gonna believe us
And now you're gonna believe us
And now you're gonna believe us
We're gonna win the league

as well as the usual Shalala, Red Army, Valley Floyd Road, Oh South London

Just on the atmosphere of away matches, I'd deffo love to go again!

Man Of The Match: Darren Bent
