THE Match Report: Arsenal 4 - 0 Charlton

A match I had been looking forward to for a while, I really wanted to see what the new home of Arsenal - The Emirates Stadium - was like in real life. And boy it was nice. The seats were annoying but oh so comfortable, the atmosphere was great, pitch was great. It felt like we were playing in Europe for some reason, it was surreal!
The match was poor, but we couldn't really help it as Osei Sankofa was sent of early on, conceding a penalty when it clearly didn't seem like one, but ref Riley thought so.
Sadly thats when the onslaught started, with Justin Hoyte scoring his debut Premiership goal for the Gunners just on the stroke of half time.
We survived most of the 2nd half at 2-0, but towards the end we let it slip with Diawara conceding a penalty and then Van Persie breaking clear and scoring a 4th.
But us fans didn't let our heads dip, we continued cheering our team, even when they scored their 4th against us! We outsung the poor Gunners support and we stayed and applauded the team. Much respect goes to Holland and Rommedahl who seemed to be the only two players who practically came within touching distance of the away fans to applaud them.
Unlucky Addicks, but the future is bright.
